Creation of devenir-weddingplanner.com, one of the first dedicated resources for people exploring the wedding planner profession in France.
Since 2010, International Wedding Institute has helped shape wedding professionals through a pedagogy built on structure, sensitivity, professional standards and the belief that meaningful careers are built through solid foundations, not shortcuts.
It is never easy to summarize more than a decade of work, evolution and commitment in just a few lines. International Wedding Institute was not built only on success, reputation or longevity. It was built on an educational vision: helping transform passion into professional expertise in a field that deserves more recognition, more structure and stronger standards.
Since its creation, the institute has focused on wedding professions with a clear mission: to professionalize the sector and give future professionals the foundations, methods, tools and mindset they need to build meaningful and credible careers.
Over time, this mission became even more precise. Beyond teaching a profession, the institute gradually evolved toward a more thoughtful philosophy of education — one that values depth over noise, real progression over appearance, and personal rhythm over pressure.
The institute’s story is a gradual evolution: from information seminars and in-person training to e-learning, WedSKILLS, the WedMANA method and a new generation of professional tools for wedding entrepreneurs.

International Wedding Institute was shaped by Anne-Marie Mecheri’s long-standing work in adult education, wedding training, educational design and entrepreneurship. Her vision has always been to treat wedding professions as real professions: demanding, creative, strategic and deserving of serious pedagogical support.
Over the years, this vision has evolved with experience. The institute’s approach now combines professional standards, emotional intelligence, practical methodology and a deep respect for the learner’s rhythm.
This is also why WedSKILLS was created as more than a simple training program. It is designed as a structured progression path, helping future wedding professionals build knowledge, confidence, methods and a clearer professional identity over time.
This video is a visual memory of the institute’s journey: the seminars, the training sessions, the first learners, the atmosphere of the Paris years and the long evolution that led to today’s digital learning ecosystem.
Before becoming a fully online institute, IWI was built through years of in-person transmission, collective training, workshops and professional encounters. These years created the foundations of the institute’s pedagogy and its understanding of what future wedding professionals truly need.
Today, this experience continues through WedSKILLS and WedMANA: a more structured, calmer and more accessible way to learn, without losing the depth, standards and human vision that shaped the institute from the beginning.
“Professionalizing the wedding industry means helping passion become recognized expertise.”
Behind every training path, there is a person, a story, a turning point and a desire to build something meaningful. Discover how IWI learners experienced their journey and shaped their own professional future.
Skills matter. Method matters. But values matter too. At IWI, the spirit of the institute is defined not only by what is taught, but by how learning is approached, supported and embodied.
Wedding is our universe, but education is our craft. We care deeply about how adults learn, how confidence is built and how strong foundations are transmitted in a meaningful way.
We do not teach perfection as an illusion. We teach the discipline of learning, the humility of questioning oneself and the understanding that excellence begins when one stops pretending to know everything.
A training program is only a beginning. Real professionals continue learning throughout their career, refining their methods, evolving their tools and growing with experience.
After years of in-person collective training, a different path emerged. The institute chose to move toward a slower, more individualized pedagogy built around the belief that people learn better when their rhythm, emotional reality and cognitive space are respected.
For many learners, online learning is not a lesser version of education. It is a more appropriate one. It removes unnecessary travel, avoids intense compressed group dynamics and allows people to absorb knowledge with greater calm, better focus and more sustainable energy.
This choice also improves the quality of support itself. A calmer pedagogical environment creates better listening, more emotional availability and more meaningful one-to-one exchanges between learners and the educational team.
The values of the institute have gradually expanded toward a broader entrepreneurial philosophy: one that refuses unnecessary pressure, respects personal rhythm and sees performance as something deeper than speed alone.
Slow business is not an apology for laziness or passivity. It is the belief that meaningful performance can be built through ethics, clarity, better time management and respect for one’s own pace.
IWI does not teach aggressive sales pressure. The institute believes in kind marketing: strong positioning, refined brand image, meaningful services and communication that happens in the right way, at the right time, for the right people.
Rather than promising shortcuts, the institute focuses on helping learners improve their skills, work with professional tools and create a strong, beautiful and coherent business image.
Moving toward individualized online training was not simply a strategic shift. It was also a personal realization. Beyond expertise in wedding business, there was another experience to share: the reality of entrepreneurship as a sensitive woman, the search for a more aligned pace and the conviction that emotional dimension matters deeply in business creation.
Many people who are drawn to wedding professions are highly sensitive, creative or in search of a more meaningful professional life. Some are rebuilding after burnout, disappointment or a strong need for change. For these profiles, highly stimulating group formats and success-driven pressure are not always the best learning environment.
IWI’s online model was created to offer a more respectful alternative: a quieter space that allows people to maximize their capacities, stimulate creativity and build confidence without being overwhelmed.
Not everything can or should be taught online. But the institute made a deliberate choice: focus on the foundations, methodology, tools and entrepreneurial structure that can be taught with excellence in a digital format.
A career in wedding planning, design or officiating will never stop evolving. Workshops, masterclasses, peer sharing and real-world experience will all continue shaping a professional over time. But the beginning remains decisive.
There is only one opportunity to build the right foundations at the start. That is why IWI now places its full focus on the educational core: essential knowledge, methodology, professional tools and guidance for business creation.
This focus is at the heart of the WedSKILLS program — a program built from years of experience designing training systems, teaching adults, accompanying professionals and coaching future wedding entrepreneurs.
“A training program is not the end of a path. It is the beginning of a way of learning that should last throughout a career.”
