How I came up with the idea of becoming a Wedding Planner
I wanted to create my wedding planning agency, À l’aube du mariage, in Montpellier to help preserve one of the most precious moments in the lives of my future clients: their wedding. While organizing my own wedding, I realized how much work it required and how many difficulties could arise. Since childhood, I have always been the type of person who loves schedules and checklists. I absolutely loved planning every detail of my own wedding, and I wanted to ease the load for future brides and grooms by putting my rigor and kindness at their service. À l’aube du mariage encourages couples to make wedding traditions their own. Every couple has its own vision of marriage, and through my work, I want their personality to shine through on their wedding day.
My background before getting started
I am naturally studious and rigorous, which is what led me toward law. I earned a master’s degree in law and hold the certificate qualifying me for the legal profession. Managing deadlines and unexpected situations are challenges I know well. I decided to open my wedding planning agency in Montpellier, and to strengthen my skills in the wedding field, I enrolled in the Wedding Planner Designer program with the International Wedding Institute. The future brides and grooms I support will be much more than clients to me; they will be meaningful encounters that I will remember. Love is, to me, the essence of life. It is what drives me every day, and it is what I want to celebrate every day with my agency À l’aube du mariage. I also wanted a balance between personal and professional life, and entrepreneurship seemed like the best way to achieve that, especially so I could pursue a passion profession while still making time for my son.
The difficulties I faced
Before launching my wedding planning business, À l’aube du mariage, I would say there were three main difficulties before getting started.

To overcome all of that, I would simply say that you have to begin and surround yourself with quality people such as the International Wedding Institute. We only have one life, so we might as well live it to the fullest.
My agency
The name of the agency is no coincidence. À l’aube du mariage supports future brides and grooms through a new stage in their life: marriage, in the Occitanie region. Whether they have a traditional or modern vision of marriage, it remains an important event in their lives. As a wedding planner, I encourage couples to make wedding traditions their own and adapt them to their wishes. The goal is for their wedding to reflect their personality and for that day to preserve their love story. Based in Mèze and specializing in wedding planning, À l’aube du mariage helps future brides and grooms save time and lighten the burden of wedding preparations. I also offer wedding dresses for rent, and I hope to expand my rental catalog by the end of 2024.
What I love about my new profession
What I love most about the wedding planner profession is that we get to take part in a life moment that our clients will remember forever. These are moments that stay with us and that we keep deep in our memory until the end of our lives. Is there a more beautiful profession than making that day unforgettable and allowing your clients to enjoy one hundred percent of their big day? As a wedding planner, we get to discover beautiful venues, quality vendors, and different challenges depending on the wishes of each couple. It is a constant challenge to create something bespoke for every couple, and there is nothing more stimulating. À l’aube du mariage wants to support its clients so they can experience their wedding preparations peacefully and focus on what matters most.
What IWI brought me
The International Wedding Institute program gave me a professional vision of wedding planning and allowed me to develop skills in this field beyond my own experience as a bride. The personalized support throughout the program meant that I was truly listened to and received objective feedback during the whole process, and for that I thank Anne-Marie. The program also gives access to a network and allows you to exchange with other wedding planners. I recommend it to anyone who wants to become a wedding planner designer, because it truly allows you to share and to be supported personally throughout the business creation process.
