How I came up with the idea of becoming a Wedding Planner / Designer
I have always been drawn to the world of weddings, even from a very young age. I found photos of myself at the age of eight dressed up as a bride for Carnival, or trying on my mother's dress. I have always been fascinated by this profession, one of the most beautiful there is: helping a couple organize the most beautiful day of their lives and celebrate their love.
My background before getting started
When I finished high school, the idea was already in my mind, but there was no real training program at the time and it meant becoming self-employed, which felt too big at eighteen. So I studied travel planning and got my first job. At the end of that experience, I looked into wedding planner programs and found IWI. I did not think twice and attended the in-person program in March 2019. When I completed it, I was absolutely sure this profession was for me, but I still did not feel fully ready to launch my business. So I went back to salaried work for a few years to gain experience, and a few months ago I finally took the plunge and resigned to open my agency.
The difficulties I faced before getting started
I would say the most complicated part is the lack of concrete information when you create a company. In general, you constantly have to go looking for information and be extremely careful not to miss anything. Whether it is compulsory legal mentions on documents, the website, or the support you may be entitled to, nothing is perfectly clear or gathered in one place. Personally, I did everything myself, from legal documents to the website. I tried to figure it out step by step, but it was not easy. Launching Deux Oui pour un Nom took much longer than I had imagined, but by taking it one step at a time, you eventually get there. You just have to keep going.

My agency
Deux Oui pour un Nom is a bespoke wedding planning agency. I have three core packages, but I completely adapt to each client's request, and every quote is personalized according to their needs. Whether it is full planning or simply finding vendors, I am one hundred percent flexible.
What I love about my job
Supporting a couple in designing and bringing to life the most beautiful day of their lives. There are months of stress and worry, but when, on the wedding day, you see tears in their eyes, smiles that never leave their faces, and delighted guests, you know you worked hard for that, and there is nothing more rewarding.
What IWI brought me
Without the IWI program, I would never have dared to take the leap. The program gave me the foundations I needed to start a business and manage the planning of a wedding.
