Audrey Creates 'La Clé de Vos Bonheurs'

A former special educator who changed direction and built an event planning agency rooted in authenticity.

How I came up with the idea of becoming a Wedding Planner

Becoming a wedding planner was not part of the plan. In 2022, I decided to change careers. I completed a skills assessment that opened my eyes to new possibilities. The first was my potential to become an entrepreneur. Then I took various tests, carried out career research, reflected, talked with people close to me, and came to the conclusion that the wedding planner profession attracted me a lot and suited me perfectly. All that was left was to train.

My background before getting started

I worked for fifteen years as a special educator, including twelve years in child protection. I also have a university diploma in foreign languages. As I mentioned earlier, it was the skills assessment that led me to change my professional path.

My biggest challenge

I was supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry when creating my business, because it is not straightforward and is rather complex. I was afraid of making mistakes and giving my company a bad start: market research, business plan, financial forecast and all the rest.

My agency

My agency is called La Clé de Vos Bonheurs. It is based in the Drôme and mainly works on weddings, but also on the planning of private events such as birthdays, christenings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, baby showers, as well as professional events. I care deeply about working with local vendors in order to highlight our region. Our values are authenticity, friendliness and professionalism.

What I love about my job

I love designing a personalized wedding project for each couple.

What IWI brought me

The program was very beneficial for me. I developed my knowledge of the wedding world. Above all, I became more professional thanks to the tools it provided, which I use in my daily practice. I gained confidence in myself and in my expertise.
