A project manager at heart
Project creation and event planning shaped my last salaried years. For more than eight years, I organized events for major companies, both in France and in Luxembourg. But as far back as I can remember, I always knew I wanted to be a wedding planner. In fact, during my third year of university I was already contacting wedding planners in my region to try to get an internship. Unfortunately, the sector was very closed and the internship periods did not match the wedding season. So I kept that idea of becoming a wedding planner in the back of my mind for later, until one day the idea of becoming independent began to echo louder and louder.
Following your intuition
It was during my maternity leave that I decided to gather information and contact the International Wedding Institute. The institute’s headquarters were only a few minutes away from my home, so I took it as a sign and organized a family meeting to make a big decision. In September 2019, I resigned from my position in Luxembourg. I joined the family business in order to ask myself the right questions and take stock of my life. I then worked on my market research and joined IWI for the Wedding Planner program in January 2020.
The first step is always the hardest
The biggest difficulty I faced before getting started was making the decision to resign. I knew that by making that choice, my family life would be shaken up. That is when the moments of doubt and questioning are the most intense. I was stepping into entrepreneurship and had to learn how to balance my life as a mother, a woman and an entrepreneur. I think that being well surrounded helps you make the right decisions. I grew up in an entrepreneurial environment, and family meetings and family decisions have always been very important to me. Having the support of my loved ones is what helps me every day.

The project
After getting my certification, I devoted myself to my visual identity. I worked for weeks with a graphic designer friend to create a logo that truly reflected me. I then worked on my social media, which is something I really enjoy. At the same time, I worked with a web designer on my website. I invest a lot of myself in all of this because I want something that reflects who I am, and of course I ask my loved ones for their opinions.
Given my years in the event industry, I decided to focus only on weddings. I am therefore a wedding planner at the head of Les Boaimes, an agency located in the Grand Est region around Metz. I offer several services, from full wedding planning to advisory support. My goal is to design bespoke and unique weddings. It is important to me to respond to my future couples’ wishes and to make them real. My inspiration comes from the richness of their story, their personality, their values and their beliefs.
